The ILM Aerospace Foundation seeks to facilitate aviation education with career opportunities, bringing increased awareness to the wide variety of careers within the aviation industry.

The Foundation fundraises and hosts events in partnership with regional organizations to establish scholarship funds for area youth interested in aviation education. The Foundation also seeks to promote the cultural significance of aviation, with a particular emphasis on regional ties to aviation achievements throughout history.

The ILM Aerospace Foundation has an ambitious goal to work with partners to start high school and college aviation programs in the area. The Foundation also plans to start an after-school program educating children about flying and aviation as a career choice. Volunteer flight instructors will assist with the after-school program and the Foundation will provide flight simulators.

Our Goal

A young woman is holding and spraying a fire hose with assistance from two firefighters during a fire safety demonstration outside during ILM's ACE Camp.

The important mission of the ILM Aerospace Foundation is only possible through valuable partnerships with organizations throughout the community and donations from generous individuals. Thank you for your generous support.

FUNDRAISING

A young man with a light blue shirt and a lanyard is sitting inside an airport fire truck, smiling and giving a thumbs-up while holding the steering wheel. The truck's interior has various equipment and items, and sunlight is visible.

Once key fundraising goals are reached, the Foundation will begin awarding scholarships for flight and aviation maintenance training—empowering the next generation of pilots, technicians, and aerospace leaders. Your support directly helps students in our region access life-changing opportunities in the aviation industry. Every donation brings us one step closer to lifting someone off the ground—literally.

“This program has given me better ideas of what happens (IN AVIATION) and if I want to do this as a career.”
